The dried variant can be stored at room temperature for up to six months. 

Properties 

Both species of grass straws are edible, and chewing them following meals can improve cleaned your teeth and gums, said by Ống Hút Cỏ. It is too compostable, free of chemicals and preservatives, and are affordable.

All trade them in bundles of 100 with one dry straw costing 1,000 Vietnamese dongs ($0.043) and one new straw costing 600 Vietnamese dongs ($0.026). These grass straws are currently mainly available for sale in Vietnam.
